Nikki & Martin welcome you to The Moon & Mushroom.

We are located in the tiny village of Swilland about six miles North of Ipswich, Suffolk. Originally called the "The Half Moon Inn", before the name was changed by a fungi-loving landlord, this wonderful pub dates back to the l6 century and is a unique old country inn with tons of atmosphere. In winter we have a roaring fire, and for summer we have our patio set against a rose garden. A marvellous place to meet friends for a drink or stay and have a fantastic meal.

Our menu is substantial and changes regularly with game nearly always on the menu. There is always a good selection of old English favourites alongside vegetarian options and some globally inspired alternatives. We are also noted for our Real Ales from small East Anglian Breweries tapped straight from the barrel - Wherry, Little Terrier, Wolf, Nelsons Revenge, Brewers Gold, Umbel Ale & Golden Jackyl. There is also a good selection of wine by the bottle or glass.
