The atmosphere in the restaurant is both informal and intimate. We always have fresh flowers (the feminine touch comes from my girlfriend, Katie) and a trace of jazz in the background.

Our head chef is Michael Archer who has spent most of his life in Germany and Italy. When he first came up with the menus there were no vegetarian options (a big meat and fish chef!) so he quickly had to think of some delicious things to serve up. Our constantly changing menu includes starters; homemade soup (mulligatawny, vegetable, french onion), homemade chicken liver pate with cognac and a red onion marmalde, mains; wholetail scampi and thick cut chips, best end of lamb with red wine and rosemary, Gressingham duck breast with ginger and orange, desserts; homemade tiramisu, brandy snap with fresh fruit and raspberry coulis.

We welcome walkers and their four legged companions in the public bar where you will find some of the most friendly locals in Suffolk.

We hold extra special eveings now and again. How about treating someone special to a unique Valentines meal? On Saturday 12th Feb we have a flute and harp duo playing popular light classics from 8pm-10pm in the restaurant.

Please call us for reservations or for more information.
